Tijuana, August 27. The incoming municipal government will conduct diagnostic assessments to identify the most affected areas and establish a schedule of works, including paving, patching, and signage, announced Mayor-elect Ismael Burgueño Ruiz, stating that upon taking office, he will implement a comprehensive plan to guarantee the quality and safety of public roads.
"We will work hand in hand with the community and the relevant authorities to remodel and maintain our roads. Our goal is to create a safe and dignified environment for everyone," he said in a press release, explaining that the quality and safety of public roads are vital to the mobility and well-being of all residents.
"Our priority will be to ensure that every corner of our city has safe and accessible streets. It's a commitment I take on with responsibility and dedication, because they deserve the best," he stated, highlighting the importance of having a road system in optimal condition, "not only to facilitate daily traffic for the population, but also to promote the economic development of the region."
Burgueño Ruiz emphasized the importance of citizen participation in this process and invited residents to "become allies in improving our streets. Your input is crucial, and together we can make our city a more livable place."
According to the statement, the municipal administration of Ismael Burgueño Ruiz—which will begin on October 1—will focus on the needs and demands of the public, establishing road maintenance as one of its main goals.
