Tijuana City Council strengthens Civil Protection with increased budget for equipment

Tijuana, April 12.- The government of Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz has channeled nearly 2 million pesos to the Municipal Civil Protection Directorate for the purchase of equipment, which strengthens the work carried out by this agency.

In this regard, the head of Municipal Civil Protection, José Luis Jiménez González, acknowledged the support that Mayor Ismael Burgueño has provided to this department, which is committed to safeguarding the lives, property, and well-being of citizens in emergency situations.

"In six months, the Civil Protection Directorate has been equipped to a degree never before seen in many years. Today, we have a more solid, innovative, and capable leadership that is up to the challenges Tijuana faces," said the municipal official.

Jiménez González specified that the investment made it possible to acquire three new high-tech drones, research equipment for precision monitoring and measurement of geographic coordinates, portable radios, computers for the Research and Training area, and complete uniforms.

Jiménez González added that four pickup trucks have been added to the Civil Protection fleet, which will allow for greater coverage and faster response times to emergency calls.

The 25th Tijuana City Council reaffirms its commitment to strengthening priority government areas, such as the Civil Protection Directorate, which is currently better equipped, trained, and committed to serving the public in emergency response.
