Mexicali, May 22. The University Council of the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) held a session at the University Gymnasium on the Tijuana Campus, where it approved the creation of the educational program for the specialty in Geriatrics .
This specialty will be taught at the School of Medicine and Psychology on the Tijuana Campus, and will aim to "train specialists with a humanistic, ethical, and scientific approach" for the comprehensive care of older adults.
Likewise, modifications to the curriculum of the Bachelor's degree in Gastronomy and to the internal regulations of the Faculties of Health Sciences in Valle de las Palmas and Engineering, Architecture and Design were approved.
Likewise, the plenary session approved the name change of the Mexicali School of Medicine to the Mexicali School of Medicine and Nutrition, in recognition of its institutional evolution and the incorporation of the bachelor's degree in Nutrition in 2018.
