Dozens of martyrs in Gaza, displaced people's tents collapse, and Doctors Without Borders suspends its activities due to the aggression.

Medical sources reported that the number of martyrs was distributed among several hospitals: 9 martyrs arrived at Al-Shifa Hospital, 17 martyrs at Al-Ahli Arab Baptist Hospital, 15 at Al-Awda Hospital, one martyr at Nasser Hospital, and 6 martyrs at Al-Aqsa Hospital.

Al-Awda Hospital reported that two children were among the martyrs, along with injuries sustained as a result of the Israeli occupation's drone attack on civilian gatherings in the Julis Street area, north of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

One person was killed and 10 others were injured when a civilian gathering near an aid distribution point on Salah al-Din Street was bombed. Three Palestinians were also killed and others injured while waiting for aid in the Netzarim area in central Gaza.

Another Palestinian was killed by a quadcopter drone in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

In this context, Doctors Without Borders announced on Friday evening the suspension of its activities in Gaza City, asserting that the intense Israeli attacks posed an unacceptable level of risk to its staff and led to the cessation of vital medical operations.

"With our clinics under siege by Israeli forces, we have no choice but to halt our operations," said Jacob Granger, the organization's emergency coordinator in Gaza. "The needs are enormous, and the most vulnerable are unable to move. Newborn babies, sick people, and those with critical injuries are in need of care."

93% of displaced people's tents collapsed

Ismail al-Thawabta, director general of the Government Media Office in Gaza, confirmed that approximately 93 percent of the tents of displaced people in the Gaza Strip have collapsed and are no longer suitable for habitation. He emphasized the lack of alternatives due to the strict Israeli closure of the crossings since last March.

He added that 125,000 of the 135,000 tents were damaged by Israeli shelling and natural disasters, exacerbating the suffering of the displaced, given the lack of new tents or basic relief supplies.

He pointed to the haphazard spread of tents in an environment lacking even the most basic necessities of life, emphasizing that the central and southern governorates can no longer accommodate any more displaced persons, particularly in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis, which houses hundreds of thousands of families.

Al-Thawabta pointed out that the displaced are living through an "unprecedented humanitarian disaster," with 293 shelters targeted.

On August 8, the Israeli Security Cabinet approved a plan to occupy Gaza City, and the occupation launched a large-scale offensive to occupy the city on the 11th of the same month.

The Israeli occupation army has continued its assault on Gaza City since August 11, in an operation later dubbed "Gideon Vehicles 2." This operation has included the demolition of homes using explosive robots, artillery shelling, indiscriminate shooting, forced displacement, and a ground incursion.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving 65,549 martyrs and 167,518 wounded, most

of them children and women, and a famine that has claimed the lives of 442 Palestinians, including 147 children.
