This came in a speech delivered by Duran on Friday during the opening of the second exhibition of winning photos from the international competition "Istanbul Photo Awards 2025" at the Dolmabahce Art Gallery in Istanbul.
Duran said that Türkiye strives to ensure fair representation of facts in the global media, in line with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's vision for a "more just world."
He added that the photos, which had been painstakingly produced, would meet their true constituents on prestigious platforms such as the Istanbul Photo Awards.
Duran extended his congratulations to Anadolu Agency and all its staff who made great efforts to capture these photos.
He pointed out that Israel killed approximately 250 journalists in Gaza for documenting the genocidal war, and that the documents they left behind constituted significant works that tore through the wall of silence and awakened the world's conscience.
Duran expressed his hope that he would see the criminal Netanyahu and his administration receive the harshest punishments in international courts, and that he would witness the photos documenting this.
He added, "In this context, I would like to point out that Anadolu Agency has accomplished important work, as its books "The Evidence" and "The Witness" were presented as documents of Israeli crimes against humanity to the International Criminal Court and to the public conscience."

Duran expressed his hope that the images contained in the books "The Evidence" and "The Witness" would lead to Netanyahu and his criminal gang being punished in international courts.
It is worth noting that the books "The Evidence" and "The Witness," prepared by Anadolu Agency, are among the most prominent tangible evidence of the crimes committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip.
On March 21, the jury of the Istanbul Photo Awards announced the winners of the international competition, organized by Anadolu Agency, in its eleventh edition this year.
Twenty-nine photojournalists won awards in the 2025 edition of the competition, which saw competition among 22,000 images across 10 categories, captured from around the world.
The Anatolian Photo Exhibition opened in Istanbul on August 26 and will continue until September 7.
Last June, Anadolu Agency opened the first exhibition of the winning photos from the international competition "Istanbul Photo Awards 2025" at the CSO Ada Center in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
