Tijuana, May 3. "Get over me!" Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda told her predecessor, Jaime Bonilla Valdez, but this time singing.
At his morning press conference, he responded with a segment of the Grupo Firme song when asked how he responded to statements made by the senator (a former Morena member and currently a member of the Labor Party) that the demonstrations and blockades carried out by civil groups are due to social discontent.
"As I've said in other interviews, there are people who have toxic ex-partners. I have a toxic ex-governor. And now, as the song by the band Firme says, get over me," he said.
Then, in a song-like tone, he said: "'Stop talking about me, you have to know how to lose just as well as you know how to lie,' and look, it fit like a glove... that's what I can tell you about that subject."
