US technology company Google has officially denied a series of reports in recent days claiming that its email service, Gmail, is experiencing security issues related to phishing .
"We want to assure our users that Gmail's protection is strong and effective," Google said in a statement, as quoted by Endgadget's report on Tuesday.
Furthermore, Google stated that a series of reports in the last few days were inaccurate and even false claims.
Google has strongly called out several inaccurate claims that have emerged recently that it has incorrectly issued a broad warning to all Gmail users about a major Gmail security issue.
"This is completely wrong."
In the Forbes report, it appears that the erroneous reports refer to information that Google issued an "emergency alert" to all 2.5 billion of its users in response to a phishing attack targeting Salesforce services, which are also affiliated with Google services.
