The European Commission has fined Google 2.95 billion euros, or around Rp 56.7 trillion, for abusing its dominant position in advertising technology.
the European Commission claims that anti-competitive practices allegedly carried out by Google have increased costs for advertisers and publishers, thus potentially raising prices for consumers.
The European Commission ordered Google to prepare a plan to stop anti-competitive practices, which must be submitted within 60 days.
"If they fail to submit a viable plan, the Commission will not hesitate to implement appropriate solutions," the European Commission said in a statement.
According to the European Commission, the solution could involve forcing Google to sell part of its advertising technology business.
