Sinner locks up US Open final spot to face Alcaraz again

Jannik Sinner secured a place in the US Open final to compete for the title with Carlos Alcaraz after securing a 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory over Felix Auger-Aliassime.

The semifinal success also marked the 300th career win for the Italian, who has now held the world number one ranking for 65 consecutive weeks.

"This season has been incredible, of course," said Sinner, who is only the fourth player in the modern Open era to reach the finals of all four majors in a single season, after the match, as broadcast by the ATP.
