Mexico City, October 5 The governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha, reported through his account on "X" (formerly Twitter), that during his meeting with Omar García Harfuch, head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), it was agreed that the Federal Security Cabinet would meet in that entity, to establish strategies to reduce the violence that has generated the confrontation between factions of organized crime.
The Sinaloa governor wrote, "I met with Dr. @OHarfuch at the @SSPCMexico in Mexico City. We discussed the security situation in Sinaloa in detail. At the Secretary's suggestion, we explored the possibility of having the @GobiernoMX security cabinet meet in Sinaloa in the near future," the Morena leader posted.
So far, federal authorities have not released further details about the topics discussed during the meeting or whether more Army personnel will be deployed to carry out security measures.
