Huawei Indonesia has officially launched its latest smartphone series, the Pura 80 Series, in the Indonesian market. In addition to its key advantage of a sophisticated camera, which is claimed to be world-class, this phone is also equipped with a number of the latest artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to make various activities easier for users.
"The Huawei Pura Series is more than just a smartphone; it's a fashion and lifestyle partner that combines elegant design with a powerful camera," said Huawei Device Indonesia CEO Huiler Fan at the launch event in Jakarta on Wednesday (September 17th).
The Huawei Pura 80 comes in two variants: Ultra and Pro. During the launch period, which runs from September 17th to October 17th, 2025, consumers can purchase this phone for IDR 23 million for the Ultra variant and IDR 15 million for the Pro variant.
Despite being in the same series, these two types are said to have different camera characteristics and features according to user needs. The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra is here for professional photographers, luxury design lovers, and fans of flagship technology, with a camera that has achieved the first DXOMARK Global ranking for photo and video quality. Meanwhile, the Pro type targets premium users who want super clear images, the best night photo performance, and an elegant design equivalent to the Ultra class but in a more affordable format.
The Huawei Pura 80 Series also relies on the "Huawei XMAGE Imaging System" which is claimed to have intelligent capabilities in optimizing texture, color, and light. This system offers a moving image feature that records three seconds of footage to help users choose the best moments when taking photos.
In terms of power, this series has a 5,170 mAh battery and super fast charging technology. Meanwhile, in terms of durability, the Pro type has drop resistance up to 20 times, while the Ultra type is up to 25 times.
This phone is also supported by a number of AI features that make it easier for users to do various activities, such as the AI Smart Controls Button to provide quick access to the camera, AI Removal to remove unwanted objects in photos, AI Messaging to protect message privacy, and AI Noise Cancellation to maintain the clarity of voice and video calls.
