Hundreds of users of the Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) cellular operator vented their complaints online afternoon due to network disruptions that resulted in the loss of signal and the inability to access the internet.
Monitoring on social media X and the downdetector.id disruption reporting forum stated that the most complaints came from the areas of Semarang, Yogyakarta, Sleman, Jakarta, Surakarta, Surabaya, Ancol, Magelang, and Klaten.
Customers said they had difficulty communicating because their phones showed no signal at all.
Based on user reports, around 70 percent experienced a total loss of signal, 25 percent said they could not access cellular internet services, while 6 percent said they experienced a total blackout or total network shutdown.
"@indosatim3 min, how is the Indosat signal? It's been problematic since this afternoon, I've restarted it, but it's the same," wrote an account named @rdmrlnaaa on platform X.
As of the publication of this news, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison has not provided an official statement regarding the cause of the disruption or an estimate for service repairs.
