Igor Tudor appreciates the players' enthusiasm despite being tired against Dortmund

Juventus coach Igor Tudor praised his players' fighting spirit despite being held to a 4-4 draw by their visitors, Borussia Dortmund, in their first match of the Champions League this season.

In the eight-goal thriller, all the goals came in the second half. Dortmund took the lead through Karim Adeyemi (52'), before Juve equalized through Kelnan Yildiz (63'). Dortmund then restored their lead through Felix Nmecha (65'), before the hosts equalized again through Dusan Vlahovic (67').

Dortmund regained the lead thanks to Yan Couto's goal (74'), and then doubled their lead through a Ramy Bensebaini penalty (86'). Juve then secured a point thanks to goals from Vlahovic (90+4') and Lloyd Kelly (90+6').

"This was a match that involved a lot of energy, having been drained against Inter (Milan). At halftime, I saw that some of the players were already tired. We were playing against a strong team with quality players," Tudor said, as quoted on the club's official website.
