WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO super bantamweight world champion Naoya Inoue showed off his perfect preparation for his title defense against Murodjon Akhmadaliev in Nagoya, Japan.
"I'm sure you're tired of hearing this all the time, but this is the best I've ever been," Inoue said after his workout, as reported by the World Boxing Council (WBC) on its website on Thursday.
Inoue has sparred with southpaw fighters Nakano Mikio, Murata Subaru, Fujita Kenji, and Masuda Riku.
The Japanese champion also sparred with former champion Marlon Tapales, who defeated Akhmadaliev by unanimous decision.
All of those training partners, he said, were crucial to his preparation because they had similarities with Akhmadaliev.
"So I can respond to them appropriately and address them all, which is a key factor," he said.
