Tijuana, March 18. Former Tijuana mayor Jorge Ramos Hernández confirmed that he will run for local deputy for the alliance comprised of Morena, the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico (PVEM), and Fuerza por México (FxM).
Ramos Hernández indicated that, according to the terms of the Morena-led coalition at the local level, the candidate for the VII District had to be nominated by the PVEM , and he was chosen.
"Just as I told you at the time that if I decided to run for any elected office, I would do so through the appropriate media outlets, today I am pleased to inform you that I have agreed to run for District VII Representative for the Green Ecologist Party, a party of which I am a member," he said in a statement.
The former mayor thanked the Green Party for the invitation to run for this district and indicated that he will announce his campaign proposals when the law allows.
