The Director of Digital Infrastructure Strategy and Policy at the Ministry of Digital Communications, Denny Setiawan, said the government will prepare fast internet connections and Wi-Fi facilities to support the infrastructure of Public Schools.
"We're collaborating with operators to provide fast internet, like fast Wi-Fi," Denny told ANTARA in Jakarta on Monday.
Denny said that the government, in this case Komdigi, is ready to provide supporting facilities for the continuity of learning and teaching in People's Schools, by providing fixed broadband internet at People's School locations in accordance with the coordination of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
He also said that Komdigi will provide technical support, working with cellular operators to reach all areas where there are People's Schools, not only in big cities but also in areas with limited internet access.
"Big cities are still pretty safe. Perhaps what needs to be discussed together is how to ensure sustainability. But that requires budgeting, preparation, and governance, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs," said Denny.
