Malut United is on a mission to bounce back when facing Persik Kediri.

Malut United coach Hendri Susilo said his team is on a mission to bounce back when they face Persik Kediri in the fifth week of the BRI Super League at Brawijaya Stadium, Kediri, Hendri explained that they are carrying out this revival mission to make up for the points lost when they lost to PSIM Yogyakarta in Ternate.

"My entire team and I have agreed to put the bad result against PSIM behind us. Now we are fully focused on preparing the team to face Persik," said Hendri.

Ahead of this match, Malut United had a good head-to-head record against the White Tigers, having never lost in their previous two matches against Persik Kediri.

The former Semen Padang coach said he was reluctant to be lulled by the head-to-head record against Persik Kediri and chose to focus on the actual match.

Hendri explained that the competition break of more than a week was due to the international trial schedule, which Hendri maximized to improve the squad and he also ensured that his players were in combat-ready condition for the match this weekend.

"We continue to monitor the players' condition after gathering in Gresik. As of today's training session, everyone is in good condition," said Hendri.

During the competition break, one of Hendri's concerns regarding Malut United was that his team often conceded goals towards the end of the match.

"Regarding this, the coaching team already has a record of it. We have prepared measures to prevent it from happening again. Essentially, we are ready for the match against Persik," said Hendri.
