Persija coach Mauricio Souza said his team must be ready to compete in any conditions, both and when playing away.
The BRI Super League match between Persija and Bali United will be played at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on Sunday . This will be the Kemayoran Tigers' final match before they are forced to relocate from JIS, as the stadium will be unusable for matches in October.
"We love playing at JIS, even though the pitch isn't in the best condition, the important thing is that we've adapted to it. But again, this competition is tough, so we have to be ready for whatever happens. Whether we play on a good pitch or a bad pitch, we have to solve the problem ourselves. It's a shame we can't play at JIS, but that's beyond our control," Souza said after leading team training at the Persija Training Center in Depok on Wednesday.
Persija has been without their star striker from last season, Gustavo Almeida, since the start of the season. Observations from recent training sessions have shown that Gustavo has been training without participating in game sessions with his teammates.
