Meta plans to develop an operating system for robotics

Technology giant Meta plans to develop an operating system or software for robotics technology rather than developing humanoid robots like its competitors.

As reported by Engadget, Friday (26/9), this step will be Meta's next step after previously successfully developing the Project Orion Augmented Reality (AR) glasses, which previously felt like a dream but have now become a real product.

News of Meta's plans to develop an operating system for robots was first reported by Alex Heath of Sources in a conversation with Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth.

He said that like other technology companies, namely Apple, Google, and Tesla, Meta is also researching robotics but is focused on developing software that can be licensed by other companies.
