Minister of Communication and Digital: Government advertising in cinemas is a form of public transparency

Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid said that showing government program advertisements before film screenings in cinemas is a form of public transparency to the public.

According to Meutya, the broadcast of the advertisement was a public communication effort to convey the implementation of programs that have been implemented by President Prabowo Subianto's administration.

"We see this as a form of public transparency. The public needs to know which programs are underway, what's going on, and how they're being implemented," Meutya said when met at the Parliament Complex.

Meutya added that public communication must essentially be conducted in various spaces so that information regarding government policies and programs can be conveyed effectively to the public.

"I think one of the government's responsibilities is to communicate and ensure transparency," he said.
