Indonesian National Futsal Team captain Mochammad Iqbal said the 2025 AQUA Futsal Four Nations Cup international tournament is a valuable event for the Garuda squad because it presents opponents with different playing styles from various continents.
"First, I would like to express my gratitude for the Four Nations Cup series. It has been extremely beneficial for our national futsal team," Iqbal said at a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Iqbal believes that the continuation of this four-nation tournament is crucial for the development of the national futsal team.
He explained that the first edition of the tournament featured Argentina, Saudi Arabia, and Japan, providing valuable experience. In the second edition, Indonesia will face Tanzania, Latvia, and the Netherlands.
"It will certainly be a unique experience for our national futsal team, facing Tanzania with its unique culture, as will Holland and Latvia," said Iqbal.
