Indonesian football observer Mohamad Kusnaeni believes Indra Sjafrie is the right choice to manage the Indonesian national team for the 2025 SEA Games.
"Because he has a unique ability to handle young players, it didn't take long to form a strong team," Kusnaeni said.
The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) appointed Indra as the coach of the Indonesian U-23 national team for the 2025 SEA Games in December.
Kusnaeni said the national team's preparations for the SEA Games were very short.
Previous coach Gerald Vanenburg proved to have difficulty overcoming the problem of time constraints, resulting in the U-23 national team's performance being less than optimal.
Therefore, he said, appointing Indra was a rational decision because he has a good track record in the national age group team.
