Peña Nieto's luxurious life in Madrid is visible to everyone.

Madrid, July 8.- Former Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto has been spending most of his time in Spain for at least the past three years, shortly after ending his term and making public his marital breakup.

Since then, he has often been seen strolling around Madrid, around El Retiro Park and on Serrano Street, where the luxury shops and restaurants are concentrated, as well as in two residential areas where millionaires live (he himself lived there for a time): La Finca and Valdelaguas. He also frequents the most exclusive golf courses in the north of the city and travels around the south of the country, especially around Marbella and Málaga, where wealthy tourists also flock.

Since Peña Nieto decided to distance himself from Mexico, his place of residence and daily activities have been kept very secret. But despite this and the indiscretions of his alleged new partner, model and businesswoman Tania Ruiz, some details of his life have been revealed. When he left Mexico for the first time to settle in Spain in mid-2019, the former PRI leader spent a few months on a luxurious rustic estate in the Málaga area, precisely very close to where one of his top former collaborators, Emilio Lozoya, was arrested. Lozoya took refuge in the residential area called La Zagaleta, which serves as an impregnable fortress for millionaires, arms traffickers,  drug traffickers  , and Arab sheikhs.

Since he didn't have an official residence in Spain, he had to leave Europe at least every 90 days, taking advantage of the opportunity to return to Mexico or other destinations. He later decided to settle in Madrid, where he first lived in a luxury mansion in one of the most exclusive areas of the Spanish capital, La Finca, a popular residence for soccer players and prominent businessmen.

But if this area is elitist, shortly afterward the former president decided to move to an even more exclusive subdivision, Valdelagua, where even the free movement of people and vehicles is not permitted and most of the homes cost more than 5 million euros (120 million pesos).
