Persebaya Surabaya coach Eduardo Perez emphasized that his team will not change its playing style when facing Persib Bandung in the fifth week of the BRI Super League at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung.
Quoted from the official I.League website, Tuesday, Perez said Persebaya Surabaya remains wary of Persib Bandung, which has not been able to win in its last two matches.
The Spanish coach explained that even though they failed to win their last two matches, Persib Bandung remains a strong team with the status of defending champion.
"Of course, we analyze our opponents. Every week, we pick up points, but we always work with our philosophy, our playing style. But of course, you also need to try to look at the opponent's strengths. But our idea is always the same," said Perez.
The former PSS Sleman coach emphasized that Bruno Moreira and his colleagues will appear confident even though they are playing at an opponent's home ground known for its strong fan base.
Perez reiterated that Persebaya Surabaya will stick to the attacking style of play they have developed so far, along with the strategies they have previously prepared.
"Persib has a very good squad, a very good team. They are the defending league champions. We respect all teams, but of course, we will prepare for the match to arrive in the best condition," said Perez.
"That's why we're continuing preparations for the match in Bandung. We've prepared several different training sessions to ensure we're in top condition for the match," he said.
