Pelita Jaya Jakarta basketball player Andakara Prastawa Dhyaksa said Brandon Jawato's absence since mid-2025 season due to injury has left the team lacking the energy to compete with other strong clubs.
He considers the forward to be an important weapon and has made a huge contribution that is difficult to replace.
"Of course, there are many losses, especially in terms of the big man's size, his shooting, and his defensive style, because Jawato is one of the best players in Indonesia," Prastawa said in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He assessed that Jawato's absence had drained the team's energy.
"Perhaps what's most noticeable is his energy, his leadership qualities on the pitch," said the club captain.
Jawato was sidelined from mid-season due to injury until the end of the competition.
