Indonesian tennis player Priska Madelyn Nugroho and her Japanese partner Hiroko Kuwata became the runner-up in the doubles at the ITF W100 Incheon in South Korea.
"Grateful for everything that happens. Thank you, God," Priska wrote in a post with Hiroko after the trophy ceremony on Sunday.
Priska/Hiroko, who were the third seeds, became runners-up after being unable to stop the second seeded Japanese-South Korean pair Saki Imamura/Sohyun Park with 3-6, 6-4, 7-10, according to the ITF.
On their way to the final, Priska/Hiroko successfully defeated the home pair Heerae Im/Dabin Kim in straight sets in the first round.
However, Priska/Hiroko had to work harder in the quarter-finals when they met the South Korean pair Dayeon Baek/Eunhye Lee. They finally won the rubber set to advance to the semifinals.
Priska/Hiroko returned to their best form in the quarterfinals, defeating top seeds Momoko Kobori/Peangtarn Plipuech from Japan and Thailand in straight sets.
