Tijuana, October 16.- The Tijuana City Council, headed by Mayor Montserrat Caballero Ramírez, in coordination with the Caliente Ayuda AC Foundation, will hold the 5-kilometer race "Run Against Breast Cancer" on October 30. Its first participants registered last Friday.
The offices of the Tijuana Municipal Sports Institute (IMDET) within the CREA Sports Unit are the registration point for those interested in participating in the pedestrian event, which aims to raise donations for the Tijuana General Hospital.
Runners can bring medical supplies to obtain their participation kit, which consists of a race number and a wristband. Among the donations the municipal government will be accepting to complete registration, which can be done Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., are latex gloves, cotton, alcohol, and other items.
Registration for the 5-kilometer race, which will start and finish near the Caliente Racetrack parking lot, can be completed by October 28th.
The pedestrian event, held as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 30.
