Human remains that could belong to engineer José Alonso Guerrero Chávez and his assistant Rubén Ramírez Rojas were found inside the Ecowaste recycling plant, according to María Elena Andrade Ramírez, head of the State Attorney General's Office (FGE). She added that this suspicion has not yet been confirmed.
He indicated that out of respect for the family's grief, the discovery had not been made public and that he would now await the results of genetic testing to confirm or rule out the possibility that the men were the ones who disappeared on March 27, when they went to the Xicoténcatl Leyva neighborhood to conduct a topographic survey.
The state attorney general insisted that even though they did not have the bodies, the case has already been brought to court and there are three men and one woman facing prosecution for the crimes of forced disappearance and homicide.
"We continue working until we are sure that the bodies are there," he said.
