Durango, February 22.- The Durango Attorney General's Office (FGD) confirmed that no evidence of violence was found at the home where federal representative Celeste Sánchez Romero was found dead and determined that the cause of her death was aspiration due to hypoglycemia.
In a statement, the State Attorney General's Office announced that after conducting an autopsy, the medical examiner determined that the legislator's cause of death was bronchoaspiration "probably due to hypoglycemia," meaning she suffered an insulin overdose that caused seizures and death. They added that this will be confirmed with the pathological study requested from the Ministry of Health.
It also details that the investigation was initiated using the femicide protocol to rule out or confirm any reasonable doubt.
However, a search of the congresswoman's home revealed no evidence that would suggest the existence of violence or a crime.
The prosecutor's office stated in the statement that some interviews were conducted and objects were collected that are part of the chain of custody and are already in the investigation file initiated by the prosecutor's office.
