A group of scientists from the University of California announced the discovery of a new color ; but it's not just any news, as it's a color visible to the human eye .
The new color called 'olo' was described as a shade between green and blue and those who were able to observe it described it as 'shocking '.
To make the discovery, the group of scientists led by Professor Ren Ng stimulated specific cells in the human retina in a way that cannot be achieved with natural light, firing lasers directly into the eyes. All five participants in the experiment reported seeing a new color that they could never have imagined before.
