the organization also "strongly" condemned the attacks carried out by Israel in Iran in June, following its summit in the northern Chinese city of Tianjin, which was held on Sunday and Monday.

The organization affirmed that "the member states express their grave concern about the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, strongly condemn the actions that cause civilian casualties and humanitarian disasters in Gaza, and call for a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire and the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid."

She continued: "We strongly condemn the Israeli and American aggression in June 2025 against Iran, which targeted civilian nuclear infrastructure, caused casualties, and violated international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter."

 The organization warned against reinterpreting a UN Security Council resolution supporting the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement, after European powers activated a mechanism to reimpose UN sanctions on Tehran.

In 2017, India and Pakistan joined its membership, and Iran obtained full membership in July 2023, while two countries have observer status: Afghanistan and Mongolia.

The organization also includes 14 countries as "dialogue partners": Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bahrain, Egypt, Cambodia, Qatar, Kuwait, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Sri Lanka.
