Silza gas causes disaster in Mexico City: 3 dead and 70 injured

 

Mexico City, September 10. The explosion of a tanker truck belonging to the Baja California company Gas Silza—part of the Tomza Group—laden with 49,500 liters of fuel in Mexico City left three people dead and 70 injured, 19 of whom were initially reported in serious condition. This explosion generated a shock wave that affected 28 vehicles and a scooter, confirmed Mayor Clara Brugada

The incident occurred at 2:20 p.m. when the vehicle, which was traveling through the Iztapalapa borough—on the La Concordia Bridge and Ignacio Zaragoza Causeway—overturned, the Mexico City mayor said.
