Sweden launches world's first AI music license

The Swedish music industry organization STIM has partnered with an artificial intelligence (AI) company to launch a licensing agreement for AI-generated music.

provides certainty in a legal way for AI companies to use copyrighted songs as material for training AI models.

This license also provides appropriate compensation to both composers and songwriters.

This step was taken by STIM following the increasing use of generative AI in various creative industries, which has often violated the artistic integrity of artists, including in the music industry.
