Chairman of Commission XI of the House of Representatives, Mukhamad Misbakhun, proposed reducing the VAT rate from 11 percent to 10 percent, while emphasizing the importance of concrete steps to ease the burden on the people.
"Lower VAT rates will encourage public consumption and demand for goods. This will also boost productivity in the real sector," he said in a statement
