Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Taufik Hidayat confirmed that the change in the Minister of Youth and Sports will not disrupt Indonesia's preparations for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand this December.
"No, there's no disruption. We're still going with our preparations. It's not the athletes that are changing, unless the athletes are," Taufik Hidayat told the media after the "Peak of the 42nd National Sports Day 2025 Commemoration" event at the Cibubur Youth Elite Sport Center in Cibubur, East Jakarta, on Tuesday.
He explained that the change in the Minister of Youth and Sports would not disrupt preparations for the SEA Games because it would not impact the athletes who had already participated in the national training camp program to compete in the largest multi-sport event in Southeast Asia.
"There's no problem with the changes mentioned above (for the athletes). They're already running. All the programs are running," he said.
