FIFA announced that the first round of ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup in the United States (US), Canada, and Mexico will open on September 10, 2025, with ticket prices for group stage matches starting at US$60 (US$1 = Rp16,424) and ticket prices for the final reaching US$6,730.
For the first time, football's top competition will use a dynamic pricing system.
"I think the main message is 'get your tickets early,' especially if you've already planned your destination, because you'll be staying there, or you're a fan of one of the three host nations, and you already know when and where your favorite team will be playing," said FIFA World Cup 2026 Chief Operating Officer Heimo Schirgi .
"So that's the message, 'get your tickets early,' because anything can happen," he said.
Given the high demand, tickets will be released in stages. The first stage, the "Visa Presale Draw," requires fans to register their FIFA Fan Identification Code (FIFA Fan ID) on the official website. Only Visa cardholders aged 18 and over can register.
The registration period will run from September 10 to 19, with successful applicants receiving email notifications starting September 29 and purchase time slots being set starting October 1. While tickets for all 104 matches will be on sale to the public, receiving a time slot does not guarantee ticket availability.
FIFA said the second and third phases of ticket sales will also follow a lottery system scheduled for October 27-31 and after the final draw on December 5, 2025.
As the tournament approaches, fans will be able to purchase remaining tickets on a first-come, first-served basis .
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held in 16 cities in the United States, Canada and Mexico from June to July 2026, marking the first edition of the tournament with a 48-team competition.
