Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) Director Priandhi Satria confirmed that preparations for the Mandalika Circuit in Central Lombok Regency to welcome the MotoGP event on October 3-5, 2025, have reached 99 percent.
"These preparations are divided into two, there are racing and non-racing. This race readiness relates to racing on the circuit, pit line, paddock, track, and so on, which is 99 percent safe ahead of MotoGP," he said after attending a preparatory meeting for the 2025 MotoGP event led by NTB Governor Lalu Muhamad Iqbal along with NTB Deputy Governor Indah Dhamayanti Putri and several agencies in Mataram, Monday.
He stated that the MSMEs are also fully prepared for non-race activities such as paddock preparation and other supporting events, such as team container layout. However, this arrangement work has been delayed due to the need to wait for the equipment sent by Dorna for all teams to arrive in Lombok.
"We can't put MSMEs at the front while the racing team's supplies haven't arrived at the circuit. So we're waiting for the team's equipment to arrive before we can set up the MSME tents. Usually, supplies from Dorna arrive a week before the race," Priandhi said.
Meanwhile, Priandhi said the stands are fully prepared, starting with stands A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, and K, including the roofs for stands A, B, C, J, and K, although some stands are still roofless.
When asked about the potential decline in spectator numbers due to the MotoGP event in Mandalika also coinciding with the F1 event in Singapore, Priandhi admitted to being concerned considering that the audience market in Indonesia could be divided, especially since supporting events, especially entertainment at F1, could be more luxurious.
