The Ministry of Communication and Digital has submitted a permit for the initiative of the Draft Presidential Regulation related to the regulation of artificial intelligence (AI) simultaneously after the completion of public consultations for the regulation.
The public consultation referred to refers to the public consultation on the National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Roadmap White Paper and the Draft AI Ethics Guidelines which were completed on August 29, 2025.
"The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has also submitted a request for permission to initiate the Draft Presidential Regulation for the National Railway Roadmap and the Draft Presidential Regulation on Railway Ethics to the President of the Republic of Indonesia," said Director of Artificial Intelligence and New Technology Ecosystem at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Aju Widya Sari.
