The Israeli army radio reported that "three Israelis were injured and taken to hospitals," noting that "the perpetrator of the operation was wounded and arrested," without revealing his identity. However, the Israeli army later announced the martyrdom of the perpetrator, without providing any further details.
The Israeli army said in a statement: "Following the initial report of the operation at the al-Khader Junction, the perpetrator of the ramming attack and stabbing attempts was eliminated at the scene," adding that "IDF forces are closing roads, encircling villages, and combing the area."
In turn, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported, citing the General Authority of Civil Affairs, that it had been officially informed of the martyrdom of the young man, Mahdi Muhammad Awad Diriya (32 years old), by the bullets of the occupation soldiers south of Bethlehem.
For its part, the Israeli ambulance service described the injuries of one of the injured as "moderate to serious."
The Israeli occupation army had previously reported a shooting incident at the Al-Khader junction near Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, and said in a statement that the details of the incident were being investigated.

In parallel with the genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army and settlers in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, killed at least 1,047 Palestinians, injured approximately 10,300, and arrested more than 19,000, according to official Palestinian data.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving 66,097 martyrs and 168,536 wounded, most of them children and women, and a famine that has claimed the lives of 453 Palestinians, including 150 children.
