Tijuana, September 10. – The 24th City Council, headed by Mo ntserrat Caballero Ramírez, reported a lack of rain due to intermittent and intense rains caused by the remnants of Tropical Storm Kay .
According to the Fire Department report for the last 24 hours, of 406 calls received, 86 were general reports and 25 cases due to rain, without considerable damage .
The report provided by the Civil Protection Directorate indicated the response to 89 incidents that occurred during various hours on Friday and into the evening. Short circuits, fire alarms, shelters, tree hazards, collapses, injuries, and flooding were some of the reasons why the agencies coordinated to respond quickly in case of an emergency.
The nine delegates, coordinated by the Secretary of Government, Jesús García Castro, maintained constant surveillance in their districts and reported on the significant events that occurred during the rainy season, especially in some areas of the city. According to the Director of Civil Protection, Bernardo Villegas Ramírez, Tijuana has seven weather stations in a single day.
