Two Indonesian men's singles tennis players were eliminated in the first round of the Amman Men's World Tennis Championship Series VII or ITF World Tennis Tour M25 which took place in Nusa Dua, Bali.
Gunawan Trismuwantara became the first player to fail to advance after retiring from his match against fifth-seeded Italian Niccolo Catini. Trailing 2-3 in the first set, Gunawan injured his left ankle while chasing a ball in the 32nd minute of the match.
Despite receiving treatment from the medical team, the 23-year-old tennis player finally decided to withdraw, allowing Catini to advance to the second round.
