UABC and Scripps formalize 65 years of scientific collaboration with historic agreement

Tijuana, September 10.- The Autonomous University of Baja California and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California San Diego sealed a partnership that dates back more than six decades with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding that will govern their scientific and educational cooperation until 2030.

The ceremony, led by President Luis Enrique Palafox Maestre and Scripps Director Margaret Leinen, marks the first formalization of a relationship that began when faculty from the American institution taught the first generations of marine science students in Ensenada.
