Tijuana, September 10. As part of World Suicide Prevention Day , the Universidad Iberoamericana (Ibero) Tijuana held the first Interinstitutional Mental Health Conference.
In his welcome message, Ibero Tijuana's general manager, Florentino Badial Hernández, emphasized the importance of mental health care, not only as a personal need but also as an ethical and community commitment.
“ Mental health is an issue for all of us . Caring for it means caring for life, for hope, and for the possibility of a more just and humane future,” she said.
For his part, the director of the Tijuana Mental Health Hospital, José Francisco Bustamante Barragán, emphasized that dialogue and joint efforts generate significant changes, and he congratulated Ibero Tijuana for opening this space for reflection.
