Young Indonesian racer Veda Ega Pratama is confirmed to have failed to become the 2025 Red Bull Rookies Cup champion after he "did not finish" (DNF) or failed to finish in the first race at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
In the final race of the European racing season, Veda crashed with four laps remaining. He was involved in an incident with Kyrgyzstan rider Yaroslav Karpushin at Turn 14.
This incident resulted in the racer from Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta Special Region, not getting any points in the first race, while on the other hand, his strongest competitor, Brian Uriarte, won the race.
Uriarte earned an additional 25 points from this victory, making him the 2025 Rookies Cup champion, having lost ground to Veda. Uriarte now has 216 points, while Veda has 170.
"Very happy. It's incredible, we worked really hard," said Uriarte, expressing his feelings about winning the championship after finishing runner-up last season.
