The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that the young man, Muhammad Jamal Omar Madani (25 years old), was killed by Israeli occupation forces' bullets in Balata camp in Nablus.

Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli special forces force infiltrated the camp and surrounded a house before sending in military reinforcements. This led to clashes in which forces used live ammunition and rubber-coated metal bullets, wounding at least one Palestinian. The witnesses added that the occupation forces later withdrew from the camp after arresting a young man.

In Hebron, the director of the Dura Endowments Department, Saher al-Darawish, reported that the occupation army demolished the minaret of a mosque under construction, claiming it was built without a permit in Area C, according to the Oslo II Accords. He noted that the mosque had been standing for years, while work on the minaret began about a year ago.

Israeli forces also demolished two Palestinian homes in the town of Al-Khader, south of Hebron, under the same pretext, according to eyewitnesses. Local and international organizations indicate that obtaining building permits in Area C is nearly impossible for Palestinians.

The Oslo II Accords between the Palestine Liberation Organization and Israel divided the West Bank into three areas: "A" under full Palestinian control; "B" under Israeli security control and Palestinian civil and administrative control; and "C" under Israeli civil, administrative and security control.
