Gaza's death toll rises to more than 63,000, with a new escalation worsening the humanitarian situation.

In its daily statistical report, the ministry stated that 113 martyrs and 304 wounded arrived at Gaza hospitals over the past 24 hours, noting that the total death toll from the aggression since the resumption of military operations on March 18, 2025, has reached 11,615 martyrs and 49,204 wounded.

In a related context, the Director General of the Ministry of Health, Munir al-Barash, stated that the military operation launched by the occupation army in Gaza City on August 13 has so far resulted in the martyrdom of more than 1,100 Palestinians and the injury of more than 6,008 others.

Al-Barash explained, in a post on the "X" platform, that the operation, which entered its twentieth day, began in Jabalia al-Balad and al-Nazla in the north, expanded toward the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in the northwest of the city, reached the al-Zeitoun and al-Sabra neighborhoods in the east, and ended around the Baptist Hospital in the city center.

He pointed out that the bombing caused widespread destruction, including thousands of homes and buildings, in addition to targeting medical facilities, including the Sheikh Radwan clinic, and destroying ambulances, disrupting relief operations and the rescue of the wounded. He also noted the mass displacement of thousands of families, who are facing dire humanitarian conditions amid severe shortages of food and medicine.

Regarding the victims of attacks targeting aid distribution points, the Ministry of Health reported that the number of martyrs and wounded among those waiting for aid during the past 24 hours reached 33 martyrs and 141 wounded, bringing the total number of victims of this type of attack to 2,339 martyrs and more than 17,070 wounded.

The ministry also documented the deaths of six people, including a child, in the last hour due to hunger and malnutrition, bringing the death toll from famine to 367, including 131 children, as a result of the Israeli blockade and closure of crossings since March 2.
