WhatsApp has launched a new feature for its Android and iOS versions of the app that allows users to translate messages into their preferred language.
To use this feature, users can long-press a message and then tap the “Translate” option to translate it.
Selected languages can be downloaded for future use. WhatsApp explained that this translation feature applies to private chats, groups, and messages in Channels, as reported by Tech Crunch on Wednesday.
"With over 3 billion users in over 180 countries, we're always striving to keep people connected, wherever they are. But we understand language can sometimes be a barrier. That's why we're introducing a message translation feature on WhatsApp to make cross-language communication easier," WhatsApp said.
