Worker electrocuted at building under construction in Tijuana


 Tijuana, April 14. A worker received an electric shock while working on a building under construction in the Marrón neighborhood, on Río Suchiate Street.

Arturo Sánchez, Tijuana Fire Department shift manager, reported that they received the initial report of a fire that left one person injured.

Upon arriving at the scene, they ruled out the presence of a fire, but found a man who had come into contact with high-voltage cables.

Civil Protection personnel arrived at the scene to verify safety conditions in the area.

The injured worker was treated by Red Cross paramedics and later transferred to a hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition .
