American entrepreneur Elon Musk's social network X will challenge the legal ruling it received in India regarding its content removal system by filing an appeal.
The ruling in question is the one issued by the Karnataka High Court last week, which ordered X to comply with the provisions of India's full content removal system.
TechCrunch reported on Monday that the content removal system that social networking platforms in India must comply with is regulated through an online portal called Sahyog. X opposes the use of the Sahyog system, arguing that the police can issue arbitrary content removal orders.
