Xiaomi has officially released its first compact tablet, the Xiaomi Pad Mini, globally, equipping it with the Dimensity 9400+ chipset.
In fact, this tablet, which was introduced to the global market, was first introduced in its home country, China, under the name Redmi K Pad, earlier this year with similar specifications such as an 8.8-inch 3K screen and the HyperOS 2.0 operating system.
Quoting the Gizmochina report, Thursday, the Xiaomi Pad Mini is equipped with an 8.8-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 3008 × 1880 pixels with an aspect ratio of 16:10, producing 3K sharpness.
This device supports a 165Hz refresh rate , 372Hz touch sampling , and 1080Hz instant touch sampling for faster response.

For eye comfort, the display is TÜV Rheinland-certified for Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, Circadian Friendly, and DC dimming. It also features Wet Touch for use with wet fingers.
In the kitchen, Xiaomi entrusts the MediaTek chip with Dimensity 9400+ 3nm which has an octa-core CPU configuration , Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU, and NPU for AI tasks.
This tablet uses a centralized thermal design that distributes heat efficiently to maintain performance and comfort during long-term use.
In terms of the operating system, this tablet is equipped with HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 which is capable of running many AI features such as Circle to Search to the translator feature.
As for the camera, there's a 13MP rear main camera and an 8MP front-facing camera, both great for video calls and selfies. Both cameras support HDR and essential modes like portrait and document scanning.
In terms of battery life, this tablet is equipped with a 7500mAh dual-cell battery with 67W fast charging, which is claimed to be able to reach 58 percent in 30 minutes. This battery is promised to last up to 19 hours of reading, 15 hours of video watching, or 10 hours of MOBA gaming on a single charge.
For memory options, the Xiaomi Pad Mini comes with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage memory.
The tablet is equipped with two USB-C ports, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and two Dolby Atmos speakers.
